MBTA Commuter Rail Service

On October 21, the MBTA launched a year-long commuter rail pilot program with service to Foxboro Station at Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium. The new service travels between Foxborough and Boston Monday thru Friday with several morning, midday and evening trains available.

Foxboro Station is ideal for people who usually commute from nearby stations that are particularly crowded during peak commute times and for reverse commuters who drive from Boston to the Foxborough area.

The Foxboro pilot service provides area drivers with a new commuting option and will help alleviate parking congestion at nearby stations.

Free Parking at Foxboro Station!

We’re thrilled to announce free parking for Foxboro Station commuters from January 1, 2020 thought March 31, 2020! This new offering will save commuters $80 per month.

“We look forward to celebrating the start of the New Year with free parking for our commuters here at Foxboro Station,” said Brian Earley, vice president and general manager of Patriot Place. “As part of the 11-month pilot program, this exciting opportunity will provide complimentary parking in our commuter lot, which offers over 500 spots, around-the-clock security and Patriot Place amenities to start 2020 on a strong note and encourage commuters to try out this new service.”

Featuring over 500 parking spaces in designated Lot 4C, Foxboro Station parking provides peace of mind to commuters with less congestion than neighboring stations. To access this lot, commuters can enter at P1 and follow signage to the clearly marked lot.

Commuters at Foxboro Station can enjoy the following amenities:

  • Over 500 parking spaces available on-site
  • Close proximity to Patriot Place
  • 24-hour security

Save on Fares

The Foxboro pilot is Zone 4, which is a lower fare zone than nearby Franklin Station, Mansfield Station and Norfolk Station. Parking at Foxboro Station is $4. Special Reverse Commuter Fare is also available on select train: visit www.mbta.com/foxboro for details.
