MBTA Commuter Rail Pilot
Program

The impact of COVID-19 has been widespread, including significantly impacting the MBTA and commuter rail. As part of system-wide changes across the commuter rail, the MBTA announced that service from Foxboro Station will be temporarily paused effective Nov. 2 until May 2021, contingent on COVID-19. Prior to these extenuating circumstances, Foxboro Station, under the partnership of the Town of Foxborough, MassDOT, MBTA and Kraft Group, demonstrated steady monthly growth in key metrics, including ridership numbers, and remains a key economic driver for Foxborough and the surrounding community. We look forward to resuming service at Foxboro Station in May 2021 and welcoming back our commuters. A full listing of all MBTA schedule and service changes is available on the MBTA website.
