After hosting the PLL’s inaugural weekend in 2019 and hosting last season’s opening games, Gillette Stadium will now host the All-Star Game for the first time. Gillette Stadium has also hosted five NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships since 2008 and holds the NCAA Division I Men’s Championship attendance record (2008: 48,970), three of the top four attendance records for Division I National Championship Games since 2012 (2012: 30,816, 2018: 29,455 and 2017: 28,971) and the top three Division II and Division III National Championship attendance records (2017: 31,560, 2008: 24,317 and 2009: 24,072). Gillette Stadium also served as the host for the 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Championships, setting the attendance record for the final game (11,668). The venue hosted professional lacrosse games in 2015 and will host the 2025 and 2026 NCAA Men’s and Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championships.
Kraft Group President-International Dan Kraft knows the positive impact of lacrosse first-hand, as he played goalie for Tufts University in the 1980s and served on the executive Board of the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse’s World Championships Host Committee. Kraft expressed his ongoing support for the league and his excitement to host the 2022 All-Star Game in New England as part of the PLL’s continued mission to grow the sport in the region and throughout the country.
“From hosting the PLL’s inaugural games in 2019, to hosting Opening Weekend last year, and now hosting the 2022 All-Star Game, we are thrilled to have the continued opportunity to bring the world’s best lacrosse players to Gillette Stadium,” Kraft said. “Over the years, we’ve developed an incredible partnership with Paul and Mike Rabil and the PLL and look forward to welcoming them back here again in 2022. Over a staggering 52 years of live performances, Elton has played for tens of millions of fans worldwide, and has broken multiple attendance and box-office records throughout his career, hitting an unrivaled apex that is sure to remain unchallenged for years to come. The past year has also seen Elton return to the recorded music charts with his smash hit “Cold Heart (PNAU REMIX),” which hit #7 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and #1 on its Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, as well as charting at #1 on the U.K. singles chart upon its release.

This year will see my grand finale in North America, playing stadiums all around the country, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. I cherish these memories we’re making together. It has been nothing short of incredible and I look forward to seeing you very soon one last time, on my Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.”
“After the tour pause during the pandemic, it’s so wonderful to see Elton back out there electrifying audiences every night, but obviously with this announcement of the final North American dates it’s bittersweet as well. It’s really starting to feel like the end of this tour is in sight, four years after it began. Every artist who has ever set foot on a stage can learn so much from Elton’s artistry, work ethic, and dedication to his fans. There’s truly nobody like him. I feel privileged to have spent over 30 years working with Elton, and for our company to be a part of one of the biggest grossing tours of all time,” states AEG Presents’ Chairman & CEO, Jay Marciano.
